Sitting rooftop on their ancestral home, Silvan Panteah's Bear family stargazes. The gentle parent bear is flanked by little cubs. The traditional village or cliff house is intricately incised. Eyes that see are from turquoise inlays. Silvan's parents are noted carvers Abby and Clayton Panteah. Brother James Panteah is a stone carver as well. They descend from the greater Hustito and Lowsayatee family of Zuni artists. About 1 1/2" tall, 1 3/8" wide and 1 3/8" deep, sculpted from one rich portion of Picasso marble.
