Bears are revered as guardians, teachers and leaders, closely linked to healing and medicine. An interconnection exists between The People and bears because they are relatives, healers and mentors. Paulette and Farlan Quam's robust bear has power of form, carved from Picasso marble to a size of approximately 3" long, 3/4" wide and 2 3/8" tall. Intricate grooving adds beautiful fur-like texture. Kind eyes are from turquoise inlays.
