Debra Gasper, daughter of Dinah Gasper and granddaughter of Teddy Weahkee (d), carved a collectible little
Badger from a gorgeous turquoise. The eyes are inlaid sterling silver, Debra's hallmark, as is the continuous heartline that runs down both sides of this roughly 1 5/8" long, 1/2" wide and 5/8" tall fetish. Beneath the ground badgers are associated with healing in Zuni Pueblo traditional ways because they are thought to have knowledge of curing roots and herbs.
