Calbert Bowannie brought us an inquisitive Badger carved from Picasso marble. Calbert is the son of Zuni artist Calvert Bowannie and is following in the family's carving tradition. Eyes are from turquoise inlays set to a sweetly turned head. Etching marks are a nice way to show fur detail. If we see a badger crossing the road, chances are other family members are around, so it's best for us motorists to slow down. About 2 1/8" long, 1 1/8" wide and 1" tall.
