A perched Eagle or Hawk with turquoise eyes is carved from onyx by Evalena Boone. Her ancestry is from Teddy Weahkee (d) who was an important Zuni carver known for his traditional fetishes, fetish jewelry, inlaid jewelry and human figurines. Her mother is Lena Boone and her grandmother was Edna Leki (d) who was famous for her old-style carvings. About 2 1/2" long, 1" wide and 1 3/8" tall.
