Delvin Leekya's grandfather was renowned Zuni carver Leekya Deyuse. You might have wondered why Delvin's surname isn't Deyuse. Actually, Leekya has been the family's surname for quite a while. You see back then, when Leekya's children had started school, he had asked them to start using his first name as their last name because there were a lot of people named Deyuse. That's how Delvin, along with his brothers Freddie and Hayes' surname came to be.
