The Zuni Pueblo people traditionally honor
Six-Directions with a specific color and animal for each one. Travis Nieto's directional carving includes
Wolf,
Badger,
Eagle,
Bear and a
Mountain Lion. A
Mole is customarily included but is perhaps hidden within this approximate 2" tall, 1 3/4" wide and 1 3/8" deep serpentine carving. Each exquisitely hewn creature has eyes from turquoise. Travis' brother is carver Frank Nieto.
