Hopi Runner Katsina

Adrian Leon is a wonderful katsina carver who makes amazing small traditional dolls. Katsinas are various masked ancestral spirits who come during Hopi religious dances. A miniature Hopi Runner katsina is embellished with yucca spines, feathers, thread and cotton fabric on a cottonwood body painted with bright acrylic paints. Signed by the artist, this small woodwork including base is approximately 2 5/8" tall, 1 3/8" wide and 1" deep. Signed by the artist.
