Timothy Talawepi, Hopi
is backordered. We will ship it separately when it becomes available.
Spinning tops are one of the oldest recognizable toys found on archeological sites all over the world from many cultures. In the early 1900's, a Hopi Pueblo boy was documented skillfully playing with a cottonwood string and whip toy top. Hopi woodcarver Timothy Talawepi's hand-carved and hand-painted, with traditional cottonwood root and lively acrylic paints, toy top is a 3-piece delight. The cotton twine and wooden stick measures approximately 13" long, while the stunning top itself is about 5 1/4" tall and 3" in diameter. The wood base is roughly 4 1/2" wide by 4 3/4" deep. Signed by the artist. Extra shipping charge may apply.
