Stevan Natachu descends from the greater Leonard Halate family of Zuni Pueblo artists. His brother is carver Peter Natachu Jr., while his uncle is well-known artist Herbert Halate. Fashioned from an interesting travertine comes a happy Horse with turquoise inlaid eyes and softly sculpted mane accents. Best of all, a gorgeous tail mosaic is from gold lip shell, jet, spiny oyster shell, mother-of-pearl and perhaps turquoise or apatite that attracts the eye. About 2 3/4" long, 5/8" wide and 2" tall.
