We're happy to welcome Sherdine Tsatte to Keshi's website. Orthoceras mollusks lived in ancient Ordovician oceans millions of years ago. Their aragonite shells fossilized into a white-like calcite, which now is an attractive contrast to the dark limestone they hardened in. Sherdine's earth-hugging Badger has been carved from an outstanding orthoceras to a dimension of about 2 3/4" long, 1 3/8" wide and 3/8" tall. We're admiring her use of the main fossil to act as classic fur markings. The beautiful polishing only enhances the extraordinary fossils. Expressive eyes are from turquoise inlays.
