Salvador Romero studied traditional painting at the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe in the 80’s. He still paints and makes leatherwork for ceremonies however carving has been a main focus for over 30 years. Salvador's offering bowls are divine works of art. He walks the land at his Cochiti Pueblo home to choose the best stones to carve. At approximately 5 1/2" long, 1 1/4" wide and 7/8" tall, Raven (or crow) offering bowl from found stone is hollowed out to hold a cornmeal offering or whatever your heart desires.
