Bears have powers that we do not and are revered by the A:Shiwi (Zuni). They can walk short distances on hind legs so an upright bear is showing strength. Bear or polar bear has been sculpted from marble. Hopeful eyes are from turquoise inlays, while an adorable nose and claws are from jet. About 2 5/8" tall, 1 1/8" wide and 7/8" deep.
