Kingman Turquoise Rattlesnake

By Brian Yatsattie

Animal: Snake, Material: Kingman Turquoise
This offering is sold.

The Kingman turquoise mine in Arizona is the last remaining commercially producing mine in the United States. Archaeological evidence revealed turquoise was originally mined by ancient Indigenous cultures. Brian Yatsattie's coiled Snake has been masterfully sculpted from Kingman turquoise to a dimension of roughly 1 3/4" long, 1 1/4" wide and 3/4" tall. Alert eyes are from jet inlays. A rattle is neatly tucked. Beneficial rattlesnakes keep the rodent population down which reduces tick-borne illnesses.
