Kambaba jasper originated from a small town in Madagascar called Kambaba. Occasionally it's confused with ocean jasper. There is some dispute as to whether it's a jasper at all but possibly of a volcanic origin in nature. Some say it helps them feel grounded and ignites a creative spirit. Brian Yatsattie's friendly Frog is sculpted from this luscious jasper to a dimension of approximately 2 1/4" long, 1 7/8" wide and 1/2" tall. Little eyes are from jet inlays.
