Award-winning Zuni potters Anderson Peynetsa and his son Jamie Peynetsa collaborated in the creation of an incredible olla pottery inspired from old Zuni ceramics but with a stunning contemporary flair. It is sensuously formed from natural clay they harvest and process. Slipped with white paint, bold pigments depict a rhythmic design of Rainbirds who are known as The Bringer Of Life representing prayers for rain and snow. Zuni blossoms and other striking imagery are a visual language of traditional ways. A beautiful size at approximately 12 1/2" long, 12 1/2" wide and 9" tall. Signed by the artists.
