Stewart Quandelacy and Priscilla Lasiloo Quandelacy's small Medicine-bear (or Bear) has been sculpted from denim lapis. Specimens of lapis that have a lot of calcite in them are given the trade name denim lapis because they resemble cool faded denim. The roundness of this bear's back is related to the den entrance where in nature it goes into torpor to rest and heal thereby teaching us to take care of ourselves too, physically, spiritually and mentally. Turquoise is inlaid for an alternating heartline or breath path and focused eyes. About 1 5/8" long, 1/2" wide and 1 1/2" tall.
