Sea
Turtles spend most of their lives out in the great oceans. When they nest ashore, hatched eggshells provide nourishment to dune plant life such as beach grasses that in turn, help stabilize the coasts and prevent erosion. Michael Coble's turquoise-eyed sea turtle heads shorewards, getting there quickly thanks to powerful fore and hind flippers. Carved from one super pretty Picasso marble specimen, a masterfully detailed carapace with scutes is visually stunning, as are the scaled flippers. A beautifully worked head is so sweet. About 3" long, 2 5/8" wide and 1 1/4" tall.
