Black actinolite is a dark mineral composed of a silicate joined to various metals such as magnesium, iron, calcium or sodium. Amphiboles occur as columnar or fibrous prismatic crystals in igneous and metamorphic rocks. Black actinolite surely makes for a stunning "Painted Eagle" by Peter Sohappy. The reversible raptor is about 6" long, 3 1/4" wide and 3/8" deep. The soft sueded leather strap is 20" long.
