Hummingbird has been associated with the arrival of the rainy season, transformation and brave warrior spirit. Ancient Mayan stories say that the sun becomes a hummingbird to court the moon. Bernie Laselute's hummingbird chick has been carved from a handsome Picasso marble. Little incised wings and lovely tail feathers are especially sweet. Eyes are from turquoise inlays and a beak is one to remember. About 1 7/8" tall, 3/4" wide and 1" deep.
