Nowadays, pocketknives, X-ACTO knives and handheld electric and wood-burning tools are utilized. Alvin Leon's exquisitely featured small-sized Hopi Eagle katsina doll is carved from cottonwood and decorated with acrylic paints. Pipe cleaner, feather and embroidery thread details are added as well. This signed by the artist small woodwork is about 4 3/8" tall, 4 3/8" wide and 1 3/4" deep, measurements include base.
