Fossilized ridged corals formed Petoskey stones which are only found in Michigan. These ancient corals lived in shallow sea waters. The stone was named after an Indigenous Ottawa Chief Pet-O-Sega. The rich brown and tan colors create an instant connection to the earth, while the six-sided marine polyps themselves form a gorgeous natural pattern. Rosella and Loubert Soseeah's turquoise-eyed Petoskey stone Mountain-lion (cougar, puma, leopard or panther) measures about 3 1/2" long, 1" wide and 2" tall with a wonderfully long tail presented old-style, which is up and over the backside. The coffee-hued area almost resembles a hidden Bear.
