Master carver Melvin Eriacho's surf-riding dolphin will make you long for the ocean. In nature dolphins use the force of the breaking waves to propel themselves toward shore, then swim back out to sea and do it all over again. It's thought to be a playful activity, a grooming technique to clean their skin and a form of communication within their families. Sculpted from serpentine and polished to an attractive finish, this wonderful marine friend with turquoise eyes is about 6 1/2" long, 1 3/4" wide and 2" tall.
