Luscious wild peonies from China were domesticated for their medicinal properties about two thousand years ago. An important Imperial symbol during the Tang Dynasty, peonies were extensively grown in royal gardens. They are symbol of status and power. We're adoring this specimen of rhodochrosite which reminds us of beloved peonies. Rhodochrosite is said to bring joy to one's life, heals old wounds and makes it possible to love oneself and others unconditionally. It's an incredible mineral with an organic pink color that results from the manganese content, perfect in natural beauty like the peony flower. Brian Yatsattie sources extraordinary materials to create his collectible fetishes like this rhodochrosite Medicine-Bear that measures about 2 5/8" long, 1/2" wide and 2 1/8" tall. Eyes are from jet inlays.
