A Hunting Directional Set is part of the animal groups of the
Six-Directions that Zuni people traditionally recognize. In Todd Westika's gorgeously handmade red oak Hunter's Box, we see the hunting animals consisting of an
Eagle, a
Coyote, a
Wolf, a
Bobcat, a
Mountain-lion and a
Mole. They're each wonderfully carved of indigenous Zuni sandstone and have turquoise inlaid eyes, averaging 1 3/4" to 2" long. A turquoise point with red coral beads make up the offering bundle attached to each animal in thanks for their medicine. The box itself is about 10" long, 4 1/4" tall and 5 1/2" deep. Extra shipping charges may apply.
