Amber Carrillo's brother is renowned jeweler Franklin Carrillo. She's making her own mark in the jewelry world with stunning creations like this sterling silver overlay bolo tie. Traditional overlay jewelry is achieved with two pieces of silver soldered together. The top layer has a beautifully balanced design that is cut out by hand. When the design is finished, the top layer is soldered to the second layer of silver, allowing the design to show through the open areas. The contrast is outstanding. The adjustable station measures about 3" long and 2" wide. It has double rings on the reverse side for easy sliding movement on the braided black leather tie. The bolo tie is a generous 52" long including the 2" sterling silver tips. Signed by the artist.
