There are five species of prairie dogs whose biological relatives include chipmunks, groundhogs, woodchucks and marmots. Their squeaky calls might sound repetitive but are actually descriptive to each other. Sedrick Banteah's amusing onyx prairie dog watches another colony through turquoise inlaid eyes. Their underground homes are called prairie dog towns, which also provide shelter for other animals. About 1 5/8" tall, 3/4" wide and 7/8" deep.
