Scarab beetles can be magically metallic, rich black or brown and even have splendid stripes on their shells. Many ecosystems rely on these vital insects who are prominent decomposers and pest controllers. Keli'i Eli's fabulously decadent scarab beetle has been carved from lustrous jet and inlaid with lovely globular lapis lazuli eyes. With incised wing covers and nice spurs, our bug friend is approximately 2 1/2" long, 2" wide and 1" tall.
