Roadrunners know how to think on their feet. Quick reflexes are thanks to long legs. These fearless birds survive by running in a horizontal position with a tail held flat, plus head and chest tilted forward and down, level with the ground. We're admiring Calvert Bowannie's rendition of New Mexico's state bird honored in onyx. A crested head with turquoise eyes, a fantastic beak and a great set of tail feathers adorn this approximately 2 1/2" long, 5/8" wide and 1" tall desert bird.
