Cameron Kalestewa began his art career first carving stone animals, then tattoo work followed by pyrogravure wood burning and painting. His dream is to create big sculptures. His latest offering is a wonderful Picasso marble bushytail (Coyote, Fox or Wolf) who scouts for water on a warm late summer's day through eyes from crushed turquoise inlays. It has an inlaid heartline or breath path from alternating sections of shell, turquoise, malachite and phosphosiderite. The iridescent shell point is beautifully carved within the offering bundle that also has lovely turquoise and hematite beads. Approximately 3 1/8" long, 3/4" wide and 1" tall.
