Eddington Hannaweeke's bolo tie-wearing carved animals are collectible little friends. His latest offering is a turquoise-eyed Horse smoothly sculpted from fluorite with a handmade stamped sterling silver and red coral removable miniature bolo tie. Early bolo ties originated in the 1900s by Indigenous men from Zuni Pueblo, Hopi Pueblo and Diné. They would tie bandanas around the necks secured with string and decorated with shell additions. A darling creation measuring about 1 3/8" long, 3/4" wide and 1 3/4" tall.
