Last summer our Keshi staff was blessed to journey to Zuni and visit in person with some of the wonderful artists we feature. A pit stop included Jayne and husband Lynn Quam's residence and workshop. There an enchanting rock garden hosts minerals like malachite, lapis and turquoise off-cuts Jayne arranged amongst her flowers. She relayed loving to water her rock garden because their bright colors truly shine. Jayne's latest offering is a devoted Fox (Wolf or Coyote) pair. One canine is carved from magnesite while the other is from onyx, each with loving eyes from turquoise inlays. An abalone shell point along with melon shell, red coral, malachite, heishe and lapis compose the offering bundle. Jayne told us years ago that "foxes, they believed in the old days, they chose their mates for life". All together, measurements are approximately 3" long, 1" wide and 1 1/8" tall.
