Celebrated Zuni artist Anthony Gchachu's stunning paintings grace walls the world over. In college he learned to apply brushstrokes directly on the canvas rather than doing a draft beforehand. His instructor said you can always paint over your mistakes. This period was an evolution in his style where intricate detail became loose painting with emotion, focusing on what the composition's message is. He also learned that a good painting has seven layers of perspective and the sky is the first one.

An endless blue sky graces "Parrot Keeper", an original acrylic painting. Father Eagle is a guide that swoops in stopping everyone dead in their tracks. The startled Macaw hangs on tight to his loving keeper. Two gentle Deer represent ancestors, while the place of origin the Grand Canyon is rendered in vibrant marigold hues. Framed measurements are about 11 1/2" by 11 1/2" by 1 7/8". Unframed dimensions are approximately 10" by 10". Signed by the artist. Please click here to meet the creative power that is Anthony.
