Mountain Grouse

High up in the Sangre de Cristo and Jemez Mountain ranges in New Mexico, mountain grouse live in forested areas. Peter Sohappy's rich actinolite grouse has a gentle presence, measuring approximately 6" long, 1 1/2" wide and 3 3/8" tall. We love the reversible nature of the carving as each side is incised with appealing wing and body designs. A lovely sueded leather crest tassel is accented with silver beads. Eyes are drilled.
