This offering is sold.
Indigenous cultures throughout the world have used bone and antler awls for leatherwork, weaponry, sewing and other purposes. Specimens of them have been found dating back to the late archaic period. Peter Sohappy's extraordinary "Garden Awl" takes the form of a perched raptor such as a Hawk from antler with drilled eyes, secured to a length of soft sueded leathers. Including the leather loop and fringed tails, dimensions are approximately 18 1/2" long, 2" wide and 1" deep.
