A rare and lovely specimen of Cerrillos turquoise has been transformed into a gorgeous, simplistic Eagle or Hawk by Burt Awelagte. Cerrillos turquoise is mined in the hills near Santa Fe, New Mexico. The majority of the stone is matrix but the refreshing turquoise parts are outstanding. Eyes are from turquoise inlays. About 1 3/4" tall, 1" wide and 1 3/8" deep.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this eagle fetish will go to the Zuni Eagle Sanctuary.
