The Zuni Pueblo People traditionally honor Six Directions in life assigning a specific color and animal for each one. White Wolf is the Prey Guardian for the East, the home of the day. Lionel Sanchez carved a wonderful Wolf (Coyote or Fox) from a handsome found stone to a size of approximately 5" long, 1" wide and 2 1/2" tall. The mineral has an almost chalk-like feel, irresistible. This carving would make a great start to a self-built set of Six Directions.
