Andres Lementino is known for inlaying gorgeous Zuni Sunface symbols into his animal carvings, representing the elements in balance. He does so in the stone-to-stone method, an exacting one that takes great precision and skill. Here the Sunface design consists of a side by side inlay from apple coral, lapis, mother-of-pearl and jet, set into a sky-blue turquoise Medicine-Bear. Gentle eyes are from jet inlays. About 1 5/8" long, 1/4" wide and 1 1/2" tall.
