Goldstone is an opaque, brown glass containing fine, gold-colored particles. Some red goldstones are copper based. Goldstone is also known by other names like aventurine glass, stellaria, gold star glass, monkstone and monk's gold. Daphne and Leland Boone's leading kitty cat is the star of the show proudly displaying a little silver bell necklace. Eyes are from turquoise inlays. About 1 3/4" tall, 1/2" wide and 1 1/2" long, carved from twinkling goldstone.
