Snow weasels or ermine are skilled tree climbers whose winter color phase is a white coat with black at the tip of the tail. They range throughout North America, Europe and Asia. Hunting at night, ermine keep mice and vole populations in check as they can easily fit into their underground tunnels. Eli Cheama's delightful snow weasel has been sculpted from fish rock serpentine. A tail tip and eyes are from jet, while a colorful nose is from a coral inlay. About 5" long, 3/4" wide and 1 1/2" tall.
