In tough landscapes where dryness abounds, adaptable jackrabbits have eyes on the sides of their heads blessing them with great views. Interestingly, jackrabbits aren't actually Rabbits but hares. Unlike baby rabbits who are born blind and furless, baby jackrabbits or leverets are born fully furred with open eyes and can hop around in no time. Agile leapers, they run in a smart zigzag style and can jump many feet. Iconic large ears are like thermal radiators and double rows of teeth allow them to effortlessly chew on tough desert vegetation, even cactai. Celebrate all that is jackrabbit in Salvador Romero's delightful carving from found stone. It's about 3 1/2" long, 1" wide and 3 1/2" tall.
