Pyrite is typically brassy yellow in color sometimes occurring with a metallic-like blue-purple tarnish. The spectrum of shimmering colors are said to bring joy and a sense of well-being. Kateri Quandelacy Sanchez's textural Corn-maiden has been hewn from a great portion of pyrite. An overlaid turquoise face is accented with more turquoise cabochons. About 2" tall, 1 1/2" wide and 1 1/8" deep.
