This offering is sold.

A mighty Picasso marble Bear (or Medicine-bear) is a reversible piece with enjoyable delights on both sides. A hidden Owl with incised plumage is tucked below an alternating heartline or breath path from turquoise. The alert raptor has orange spiny oyster shell inlaid tufts and a beak from iridescent gold lip shell. The reverse side hosts a Corn-Maiden wearing a fringed shawl. Facial features are from turquoise that's been etched and filled with jet paste. Other nice accents are from orange spiny oyster shell and jet inlays. The powerful bear's eyes are inlaid with turquoise. Chad Quandelacy's parents are renowned Zuni carvers Stewart Quandelacy and Priscilla Lasiloo. About 2 5/8" long, 1" wide and 3" tall, measurements include the base from jet. Crushed turquoise represents life-giving water.
