Fossilized horned coral is found locally on the Zuni Pueblo reservation at Nutria. Fred Bowannie, Jr. loves carving with natural indigenous materials as evident in a hunting cougar (Mountain-lion, puma or panther). The unique textures of the horned coral are evident on each side. Facial details are wonderfully sculpted complimented by shell eyes. A handsome Zuni root beer travertine point offering bundle is secured to this approximately 4 1/2" long, 1/2" wide and 2" tall collectible feline.
