Zuni Pueblo culture honors Six Directions in life by assigning a different animal and color to each one. Each animal is to protect and heal that region of the Zuni world.
Along with a complimentary soft leather pouch lovingly handmade by Zuni leatherworker Annette Sanchez that's about 4 3/8" long and 3 7/8" wide, Fitz and Marlo Kiyite's wonderful mini set of Six Directions will be one to cherish. Here we have a Picasso marble Eagle, a jet Mole, a turquoise Bear, a pipestone Badger, a marble Wolf and a fish rock serpentine Mountain Lion. Except for mole, all the other animals have jet paste eyes. They average in size from about 5/8" to 2 1/8" long, 1/4" to 3/4" wide and 1/2" to 1 3/8" tall.
