Mini Maiden

Many of Ray Tsalate's art pieces are depictions of regal maidens dressed in their very best waiting to dance. At about 1 5/8" tall, 1" wide and 1" deep, an amazing antler maiden or Maiden Grandmother (one who has not had a baby) is identified by her traditionally-styled whorled hair and is wearing a shawl. Beautiful etching accents her hair, while pen shell eyes and a coral mouth are expertly inlaid. She wears a necklace of polished coral, malachite, and lapis cabochons while tiny turquoise buttons adorn her moccasins.
