An offering bundle is secured to an animal carving by the artist as a gesture of gratitude for the natural behaviors the animal displays in the wild. These behaviors such as good mothering, strength and healing ways teach us to be better. Daryl Shack, Sr.'s Bear totes a colorful offering bundle he calls a Shack Stack, a signature touch on most of his carvings. A homegrown bear has been sculpted from Zuni fluorite, a gorgeous material indigenous to the Zuni Pueblo area. Eyes sparkle a bit thanks to cultured opal inlays. The offering bundle is loaded with neat goodies like red coral and cultured opal bits. Approximately 3 1/2" long, 3/4" wide and 2 3/8" tall.
