Flicking a red coral tongue, Benina Kallestewa's onyx Snake gathers scent particles from Mother Earth to help identify predators, prey and other reptiles. Sgraffito scale etching adorns the top of the head that's inlaid with watchful eyes from cultured opals. Two fascinating inlays can be seen near the base of the snake, one from a cultured opal and one from pen shell. About 2 3/4" tall, 1 1/4" wide and 1 3/4" deep.
