Badgers are found in New Mexico's majestic mountain meadows, vast grasslands and broad deserts. They are considered a healing animal by the Zuni Pueblo people as they are believed to help medicine men dig roots needed for healing. Bernie Laselute's turquoise-eyed badger is close to the earth, low down measuring about 2 1/4" long, 7/8" wide and 1/2" tall. It's exquisitely carved from an earthy-hued Picasso marble.
