Self-taught carver Salvador Romero's
Bear is effortlessly sculpted from found stone whose simple shape belies the deep wisdom that bear medicine brings. Salvador walks the land at Cochiti Pueblo to locate the right stones for his carvings. He says “The stone has the animal in it. I just find it." A handsome point also from found stone is accented with various beads in the offering bundle. Eyes are lightly drilled. About 6 1/2" long, 1 5/8" wide and 3 1/4" tall.
